NEWS FLASH
We have Sandy Gunderson, an art historian who lives in our neighborhood, coming to Seba Senior’s AGM (May 15, at 6:30 pm) as a keynote speaker.
Her message may be a surprise for all of us: Art History is absolutely NOT highbrow or boring—it’s visually exciting and a reflection of the creative soul of mankind at its best in painting, sculpture, and architecture.
As a passionate art historian, Sandy invites you to time travel with her on a journey that will be everything from informative and awe-inspiring to shocking. Her presentation will offer a feast of stunning visuals that tell mesmerizing stories of these iconic beings. Be prepared to be entranced, entertained, and challenged! That night, she will speak specifically about How Picasso Ended The Sacrosanct Tradition Of The Female Nude In Art
Sandy Gunderson is a spirited Art Historian and educator with 30 years of extensive teaching, travels, and research ranging from the first Paleolithic cave paintings to the end of the 20th Century. She loves to share her passion through dynamic visuals that enable time travel throughout artistic eras, exploring religious, cultural, and political beliefs that shaped the art and architecture of the Western world and would continue to motivate subsequent artists. Since 1986, Sandy has avidly pursued her second passion for diving and underwater photography, capturing the technicolored oceanic world created by the greatest artist of all: Mother Nature.
