DID YOU KNOW…
- Knitting has a long and fascinating history that originated in the Middle East and Eastern Mediterranean around the 11th Century. The earliest knitted artifacts are Egyptian socks from that era. Knitting then spread to Europe, where male guilds used it to make religious garments.
- Knitting has been shown to promote wellness by reducing stress, and the ability to be creative and create social bonds. The repetitive and rhythmic movements of knitting are often equated with meditation.
COME JOIN US!
- Joanne deForest is new to Seba Seniors and is an avid knitter. What she really loves is knitting socks.
- Her love of knitting has inspired her to start a knitting club here in Seba Beach.
- Whether you’re a seasoned knitter or someone eager to learn, come join us!
- The group will meet in the cozy Melmoth Lounge, the perfect space for us to knit and enjoy each others company as we knit!
