CONTINUING OUR TALKING CIRCLE PROGRAM
Talking Circles at Seba Seniors is celebrating Orange Shirt Day, on Monday, September 30, 2024, starting at 11:00 a.m.
The Orange Shirt Day event is open to everyone from our Seba Beach community. We’ll begin by honoring Dennis Paul, whose contributions to our Talking Circles program have profoundly impacted Seba Beach and surrounding communities. Thanks to Dennis Paul’s dedication and knowledge he has shared, we believe the Seba Seniors have taken a significant step closer to understanding important social issues.
Next, we’ll have activities centered around children, so bring your grandchildren and your neighbors’ kids and their parents! It will be a great opportunity to share our respect and appreciation with our neighbors at Paul First Nation.
The event is free of charge! We’re encouraging you to register so we know how many children will be in attendance.
WE HOPE YOU WILL PLAN TO JOIN US!
Activities for the day, beginning at 11:00 a.m.
- a blanket ceremony honoring Dennis Paul, Seba Senior’s nominee for the Okimaw Award.
- All Children Matter – special activities for children led by committee members.
- Hot dogs and Bannock on a stick over an open fire led by committee members.
- Performance by Traditional Dancers
