“Aging In Place”
What does “Aging in Place” mean? Why is this idea important to the members of Seba Seniors? Why is this idea important to our community?
“Aging in Place” is a popular concept adopted by many people. Aging in community (or aging in place) means having the health and social supports and services needed to live safely and independently in your home or community for as long as you wish and are able. Research suggests that “Aging-in-Place” has physical, mental health, economic and social benefits for individuals as well as for the community.
Seba Seniors is committed to doing its part to contribute to a community that offers support to aging community members so they can stay in their homes and community for as long as possible. To that end, you may have noticed that programs, resources, and activities are gradually increasing at Seba Seniors! 100% operated by volunteers, and driven by seniors, Seba Seniors is also committed to engaging the entire community in these efforts. A strong community benefits everyone. We are in it together.
OUR WEBSITE HAS RESOURCES TO HELP YOU AGE IN PLACE
