If you’re looking for variety, energy, and a welcoming atmosphere, Fitness Fun is the class for you! No two sessions are ever the same—each week brings something a little different to keep things exciting. We start with a warm-up to get everyone moving, with simple cardio like running on the spot, side steps, and kicks. From there, the class might shift to light weights for gentle upper and lower body strengthening, or elastic bands to build flexibility and tone—all at a level that feels comfortable for you.
For those who love to dance, you’ll have a blast moving to the twist, cha-cha, salsa, and more. It’s a fun way to get your heart rate up while enjoying the music and the moment. Chairs are always available, and every exercise comes with 2–3 variations, making this class accessible for all abilities and fitness levels.
We finish with a relaxing cool-down that includes standard stretches like arm reaches, child’s pose, and thread the needle to leave you feeling balanced and refreshed. With around 10 participants, there’s a friendly, supportive group already in place—and plenty of room for more!

INSTRUCTOR BIO
Hi everyone, Hola! My name is Mercedes Martinez! I am certified as a group instructor with the Alberta Fitness Leadership Certification Association AFLCA in 2008, as a personal trainer with the International Sports Science Association ISSA in 2014, and as a Yoga teacher in 2019. But before, that I was already dancing, running and working out in Cuba where I’m originally from. Come, let’s get healthier and fitter together!
