OLDER BOLDER BETTER 2026—What an incredible day!
29th Annual Older Bolder Better Seniors Exhibition & Symposium – Hosted by WE Seniors on Thursday, June 4th, 2026 at the River Cree
Promoted as “Alberta’s largest event for Seniors Week,” – Seba Seniors was proud to be one of five partner organizations co-hosting this event under WE Seniors (West End Seniors Activity Center).
It’s estimated that more than 1200 people came through the doors at the River Cree with seniors from all over Edmonton and the surrounding communities attending this conference to meet with service providers, take in the live entertainment, enjoy good food & free coffee, as well as sit in on the Symposium.
Free for seniors, the event featured over a hundred exhibitors of seniors-serving vendors & service providers in the Exhibition area, along with a full lineup of symposium speakers in four different breakout rooms throughout the day.

As one of the partner organizations involved in promoting this event, Seba Seniors hosted a table with our own community Outreach Coordinator, Wendy Hildebrandt, greeting visitors.
This conference was so well attended, it was a steady stream of folks walking the aisles of the Exhibition from start to the close of the day – with 170+ people stopping at our booth to find out what Seba Seniors was all about!
Many folks came to chat and share memories of time spent in the area or at our renowned Thrift Shop. Others were curious about retiring in the area and were happy to see the program offerings available to them. All visitors to our booth were encouraged to come visit our Thrift Shop, Farmers Market, and many local businesses in the area, or drop in for programs if they were in the area. We handed out a stack of postcards for our 50th Anniversary too!
A number of our ‘Seba Seniors’ did come by to say ‘Hi’ and were happy to see our booth in such a prominent location, right at the front, just inside the doors of the exhibition hall.

WE ARE ALREADY LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT YEAR
If you were thinking about coming out to the event this year and didn’t make it, here are a few reasons you should definitely consider attending next year:
- Along with loot bags to the first 50 participants, there were dozens of raffles, free draws and door prizes – as well as a 50/50 draw.
- Access to over 120 seniors’ service providers – many advisors and representatives available at every booth. You can speak with the providers directly and collect information packages about the programs and offerings available to you.
- Free samples, information packages or give-away items at nearly every booth.
- Full line-up of guest speakers, information sessions, and professional advisors at the Symposium, everything from retirement and estate planning to healthy living and home support to ‘age in place’
