The 5th Annual Seniors Showcase
The 5th Annual Seniors Showcase, put on by the Parkland County Libraries, took place at the Tomahawk Agra on June 1, 2026.
Even though it was cold and rainy outside, the place felt warm and cheerful inside. More than 70 people attended the showcase, and there were 15 vendors and service providers, including Wee Food Bank, Caregivers Alberta, and our team from Seba Seniors.
The day kicked off with a really informative session on fraud prevention for seniors, led by Constable Brody Dyson from the Spruce Grove RCMP. After that, attendees visited the tables, that were all brightly decorated and looked fantastic. All of the attendees received individually wrapped cookies, a gift bag, and a cute little purple potted petunia to take home.
The Seba Seniors team had a great time at the showcase! We were able to talk to lots of the attendees and hand out information about our Seniors BBQ coming up on Friday, the Older Bolder Better Conference we are co-hosting with WE Seniors at River Cree Casino, and the Drive Happiness recruiting event on June 27th that we are hosting at our May Hall.
Seba Seniors Thrift Shop’s mascot, Pickles, was also there greeting everyone, along with our ambassador Toni and our Outreach Coordinator, Wendy Hildebrandt.
We also ran a free draw for two $25.00 gift certificates to the Seba Thrift Shop. Congratulations to our winners, Sophie and Marilyn
All in all, it was a great day and we are looking forward to participating next year!

Treats for everyone in attendance!
