TONE & STRETCH
Start your week with a class designed to keep you moving, strong, and flexible! Tone & Stretch begins with a short cardio warm-up to get the blood flowing, followed by slow, controlled strength exercises for the whole body. Using weights that are comfortable for you, we’ll focus on five upper body movements, functional strength like bending and lifting from the floor, plus squats and lunges to support balance and mobility.
We finish with a gentle cool-down that includes standing stretches to release tension and improve flexibility. This class is suitable for all fitness levels, with modifications provided so you can work at your own pace and comfort level. Whether you’re looking to build strength, support everyday movement, or simply enjoy a guided stretch, Tone & Stretch offers a well-rounded workout in a friendly, encouraging environment.

INSTRUCTOR BIO
Hi everyone
My name is Carol Smith and I am really excited to be continuing my class at Seba Seniors.
I originally took my fitness instructor training through the Alberta Fitness Leadership Certification Assoc (AFLCA) in the late 1980’s. I started my career teaching low-impact aerobics for a couple of years, then in the 1990’s when step aerobics became popular so I got certified in teaching that through The University of Reebok.
Very soon, I got certified to teach strength training and where I started working at a small ladies’ gym, where I later became the owner! In my spare time, I went to Grant MacEwan for 2 years and became a Registered Massage Therapist. This gave me a wonderful advantage in my teaching career as I learned the muscular and
skeletal systems of the human body in depth.
In 2015, I discovered Essentrics and after several years became a Level 4 certified instructor. This was a wonderful journey of learning.
- Level 1 taught me to understand the program and it also gave me the opportunity to review my past learning of anatomy and physiology.
- Level 2 taught me choreography, understanding music, and putting a class together.
- Level 3 taught me flexibility and therapeutic exercises and
- Level 4 specialized in strength training.
I look forward to meeting you at the classes!
