CELEBRATING OUR NEW THRIFT SHOP EXTENSION!
On Friday, June 9th, our organization held a BBQ to celebrate the opening of our Thrift Shop extension. It was a gorgeous early evening as the temperatures cooled down a bit and we had a nice breeze as we all gathered on the green space in front of the hall.
THE FOOD WAS FANTASTIC

We opened the event with greetings from our Past President Lynn Berg, current President Gene McMullen, and Seba mayor (name)

Board director Cathie Duchesne acted as MC and updated everyone about the thrift shop expansion. Executive Director, Dr. Haidong Liang brought greetings from the Westend Seniors Activity Centre.
WE GET BY WITH A LITTLE HELP FROM OUR FRIENDS
Projects like our thrift shop expansion are not possible without the help of a team of volunteers. We celebrated our official opening with our renovators (names here) cutting our ribbon.
THE EXPANSION AND SORTING AREA IS FANTASTIC!
Everyone really enjoyed seeing the new expansion. Volunteers walked everyone through the new area and explained how items are cleaned in our new washer and dryer. Did you know….prior to this, our volunteers would take home items, clean them and bring them back!
After the tour guests enjoyed a gorgeous evening of live music and sunshine.
