WE HAVE A NEW BOARD!
On Thursday, August 31, 2023, Seba Seniors held our Annual General Meeting. Elections were held and we are pleased to announce we have 3 new faces joining our Board of Directors:
- Ingrid Butler-Sieben is our new Vice President,
- Bruce Swanson is our new Treasurer, and
- Diane Lucas will be our new Program Coordinator.

A NEW PRESIDENT
Cathie Duchesne is now our President. She is excited that all of our Board positions are full, that there is new energy to get things done, and is looking forward to what lies ahead. The Board would like to thank our past board members for sticking with it over this last year as we dealt with many changes and for helping us make our Seba Seniors vital to our members and to our community.
FALL 2023 CLASSES
Did you know that our Fall classes are beginning soon? There are still spots open for most classes. We hope you will take some time to visit our website where you can see all of the registered programs we are offering, find something you want to try, and then head down to the Thrift shop and sign up for a class! And make sure to check out our new program, Hot Topics, where we are bringing in guest speakers who will do educational/information sessions for our members.
ORANGE SHIRT DAY – COME JOIN US!
Orange Shirt Day, is on Saturday, September 30, and it will be a special day at Seba Seniors.
- Take part in a rattle-making workshop,
- Have a traditional meal of stew and bannock, and
- Listen to our own Carolyn Wagner – sharing her knowledge as an elder and her honors thesis.
The day will end with dancers performing.
This is a free event, for all ages and open to the community!

Finally, buy your tickets for our annual Fall Dinner on Friday, October 6, 2023! Our own music Jammer’s will entertain and the Social committee is working up a fabulous menu. Visit our thrift shop to purchase your tickets!
