A Groovy 50th Anniversary Weekend

What a wonderful weekend celebrating 50 years of fun, friendship, and community. Seba Seniors is still floating on cloud nine after marking our golden anniversary with two days of music, memories, and togetherness.

The celebration began on Friday, July 10, when more than 100 members and guests joined us for a lovely lunch, great music by Dutch, and a beautiful trip down memory lane. It was a heartfelt way to honour five decades of stories, friendships, and shared history.

The excitement continued the next day at the Seba Beach Pavilion with a groovy 70s‑themed dance party. DJ Clay kept the dance floor packed all night, and the far‑out fashion on display made the evening even more fun. Congratulations to our fabulous costume contest winners, Pearl and Armand Nielsen, and thank you to everyone who dressed up and embraced the theme.

A massive thank‑you goes out to our incredible volunteers and guests. Your energy, time, and support made this milestone celebration truly special. We are 50 years strong because of you. Thank you as well to John Lucas for capturing the weekend with some great photos.

Watch for more stories and interviews in upcoming newsletters, and keep an eye out for our brand‑new sign arriving soon. If you attended the dance and would like to share your photos, please email them to info@sebaseniors.ca.

Here’s to the next 50 years.
