Alberta Pulse Growers

If you think healthy eating means giving up your favourite comfort foods, think again! Most recipes are made lighter with small swaps – leaner cuts of meat, a little less cheese, Greek yogurt instead of mayo, or low-sodium broth instead of regular. Sometimes adding nutrient-dense foods to a dish can be helpful too, such as throwing in a handful of greens or blending in some lentils to add fibre. Getting creative in the kitchen is a great place to start!

The Alberta Pulse Growers have a fantastic website and e-newsletter filled with great ideas to help us eat healthier and at a much lower cost!  That’s why we are sharing some of their great resources
