CONGRATULATIONS TO DENNIS PAUL!
Seba Seniors is pleased to announce that our nominee, Dennis Paul, has been selected to receive the Human Rights and Advocacy Award to be honored this year at the 2024 Okimaw Awards. Congratulations Dennis! We are honored and proud that you are our friend! Your award is well deserved and we are so glad we were able to nominate you. Another of our members said, “Congratulations to Dennis for being recognized in this way for your life work in justice and human rights….we need more Dennis’s in this world!”
The founder of Okimaw Awards, Janice Randhile, has this to say in her acceptance letter:

This nominee throughout his life has demonstrated cultural and moral integrity, a warrior that succeeded in achieving their sovereignty.“
2024 OKIMAW AWARDS
The award ceremony will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2024, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at Edmonton City Hall (City Room – Main Floor). Our Talking Circle committee is meeting at our centre at 8:30 a.m. to drive to Edmonton. We will arrive early. Dennis has asked us to support him in social time before the event. We want to show our support for Dennis and Paul First Nation when he receives the award. We would like to encourage anyone in the community to join us.
