Another Wonderful Evening Of Food, Music, and Fun!
On Friday, December 6th, 2024, we hosted our annual Christmas Party and it was another wonderful evening of food, music, and fun! We had over 80 people attend so it was a full house at May Hall.
People started arriving around 5:30 p.m. to grab a drink and enjoy each other’s company. We played a video tribute to 2024, that showcased what a wonderful year it has been at our centre and our members loved it!
Our Communications Coordinator, Tracey Stewart was our MC for the night and she kicked off things with a fun Seba Beach and Seba Seniors trivia game with people winning their chance to go up and get some dinner from the buffet. Our Christmas dinner is always lovely and this year was no different as we enjoyed turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, and salad with a vanilla cake for dessert. Linda and Jen from Light Up Your Life joined us for the evening so were on sight, selling 50/50 tickets and they also had 2 door prizes up for grabs! Around 7:00 p.m. Seba Seniors presented them with a cheque of $500.00. For those of you who do not know the Light up Your Life Society…they provide terminally ill people here in Parkland County with the equipment needed to be at home during their last days. Seba Seniors supports a number of organizations throughout Parkland County, the year and we were thrilled to support them again this year.
Once again the Songkraft Singers entertained us with a medlay of Christmas songs and it was fantastic with even a few couples dancing.
We would like to thank our Social Committee for putting on another wonderful event. Thank you to everyone who attended and donated food for our local food bank. We collected 8 bags and over 80 pounds of food!
