Seba Seniors Thrift Shop – Did You Know??

  • The Thrift Shop has supported the Seba Seniors for 50 years?
  • The Thrift Shop has three buildings, the Main Thrift Shop, the Garage, and the Old Firehall?
  • The Thrift Shop is a source of low-cost clothing, linens, housewares, books, notions, fabric/wool, games, puzzles, and knick-knacks. Furniture, tools, and outdoor items can be found in the outer buildings?
  • The Thrift Shop is a busy resource for low-income shoppers and bargain hunters. Our customers are of all ages and are looking for that special item at a bargain price?
  • All our items are donated by friends and community members, and then priced low for resale?
  • Income from the shop helps offset the cost for utilities and maintenance of our Seniors centre?
  • Income from the shop helps pay for programs and activities which are available to all members of the community?
  • Income from the shop enables the Seniors to make donations to several charities and local organizations?
  • Donations we cannot use are sent to other organisations for reuse and recycling, thus reducing the amount of material going to the landfill?
  • The thrift shop is open Wednesdays and Saturdays, 10:00 am – 3:00 pm?

WE CANNOT OPERATE WITHOUT THE HELP OF VOLUNTEERS

  • The Thrift Shop is completely volunteer-run by community volunteers as well as Seba Seniors members.
  • Our volunteers help with all the testing, sorting, pricing, stocking, and sales. We are always in need of more helping hands.
  • Volunteer shifts are 2 1/2 hours – regular, periodic, or on-call

If you’d like to help, please stop by the Thrift Shop and sign up for a shift or call Lynn, 780-907-5267
