Show your lake some love – Become a member of the Wabamun Watershed Management Council (WWMC)
It’s free – and you will be part of an amazing group of stewards who have been helping to keep Wabamun Lake clean and clear for 20 years. The Wabamun Watershed Management Council is made up of people like you who care about Wabamun Lake and want to learn more about actions that anyone can take to
keep the lake healthy and protect the birds, fish and plants that live in our watershed.
Many Seba Seniors Centre members are current members of the WWMC, but we would love new members!
Being a member will ensure you get your newsletters and updates about educational events, projects, and activities going on around the lake. Some of the great things you may learn include:
- Science and climate change, aquatic plants that live in the watershed, what to do about invasive species, and amazing nature walks with our
botanist. Being a member will give you the inside track on how we are advocating to protect our lake, on what’s happening with lake water level, and how small actions can make a big difference. - You will get updates on fisheries, new regulations, resources and the latest news in environmental protection.
- Members also have voting privileges at the annual general meeting and special meetings.
Our lake needs you more than ever – so don’t hesitate to join us!
